Lillian Helen Martha McWilliams, 92, of Janesville died Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center. She was born at home in Cold Springs, WI on June 19,1918, the daughter of Ferdinand A. and Lillie (Kreklow) Kutz. She attended school in Cold Spring. She married C. Glenn McWilliams on October 31, 1937 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson. He preceded her in death on July 23, 2004. Lillian was a member of First Lutheran Church in Janesville where she was active in women’s circles and as a volunteer. Lillian was an avid gardener starting at age 5 when she helped her mother in their big family gardens. Her family was most important to her. She loved her time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always made holidays very special for everyone. She loved to bake and share all her “goodies” with others. Lillian was an accomplished seamstress making clothes for her children, grandchildren and herself.

Surviving are 2 children, Glenn F. (Linda) McWilliams of Janesville, Patricia (Russell) Dodd of Madison, a daughter-in-law, Susan McWilliams of Janesville, 8 grandchildren, Gregory (Christine) McWilliams, Gwen Mauritz, Ginger McWilliams, Andrew McWilliams (Devon), Haven McWilliams (Jim), Kari (Andrew) Albrecht, Zachary Murray, Shawn Murray, 3 step-grandchildren, Eric Wulkowicz, Jason Wulkowicz, Korin Mattei, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way, a sister-in-law, Margie Kutz of Fall Brook, CA, a brother-in-law, Ray McWilliams of Albion, IL, numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 son, Dennis McWilliams, 6 sisters, Margaret Draeger, Martha Schumacher, Mary Brown, Laurena Arndt, Minnie Buckingham, Anna Yandry, 4 brothers, Carl, Ferd Jr., Herman and Howard Kutz.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at First Lutheran Church, 612 N. Randall Ave., Janesville with Rev. Naomi Garber officiating. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Visiting hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12th at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville and at the church on Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church.
